Recommended, but be prepared to endure the sauna (as all of the signage indicates) What looked interesting: Elephant Ride, but had no time. Butterfly Habitat - Memorable experience to be surrounded by all of the colorful fluttering beauties. Odin's Temple of the Tiger - Short, but memorable display of regal cats. V2 - Short line at 5:30pm and the best ride of the day (out of the rides that we rode on). Its seat belt and single lap bar, coupled with the "ricketyness" and un-dampended ride a wooden coaster provides, results in an "on-the-edge" experience and a huge sigh of relief when the ride ends and you're still around to realize it! Highly recommended, but git there soon! 5. All of the "newer" rides have so much padded restraints that keep your torso snug throughout the rides so you never have the sense of possibly flying out. old school wooden coaster that provides just the amount of apprehension about its safety made this the scariest ride. Superman - Short but exhilarating recommended (get a Flash Pass!) Only has one 12-person car due to the ride's configuration' Projected line wait based on where you are in the queue: number of folks in line ahead of you divided by 12, times 4 minutes per load (2 minute ride + 2 minute off-load/on-load), well, you do the math. Also didn't help that they were only running one car since the other one was down for repairs/maintenance. Poor ergonomic design results in you coming off feeling like you were in a boxing match. Kong - Regardless of the line, did not feel it was worth it. 40+ minute wait for a 2 minute Kong ride If your goal is to ride their "Thrill Rides" and still have time to experience all of the other great animal attractions, then get the Flash Passes (not free like Disney's FastPass') so you don't waste time in potentially long lines (for $35 for a group of up-to six, you can make a reservation in advance equal to the current wait time essentially saves you from having to physically wait in line have Gold and Platinum levels that cost more, but shortens the reservation waiting period) We had just visited Disneyland on the 22nd (and experienced their top-notch organizational and industrial engineering practices and large staffs) so this review may be a bit jaded. 60+ minute wait in line for a 2 minute Superman ride 3. 20 minute wait in the car line to get to the parking lot ticket booth. Visited on the Saturday (25 July 2015) without Flash Passes and arrived at 11am so should've expected: 1. You can only book one ride at a time using the Fastpass. Recommend getting the middle level of fastpass($50 each) which gives you a registration time at 50% of the current line wait time. It can be used at all of the rides that have lockers. So, plan to get the 3 hour locker rental for $3.00. You cannot leave your backpacks or other items on the exit platform of the rides. Everything is very expensive - postcards $3.95, Popcorn and a small Diet Coke -$9.00, bottle of water $4.50, Fish & Chips & small Diet Coke - $17.00, You cannot take in your own food or drinks. Take a lot of money or credit/debit card. Get there early as it will take about 10 minutes to get from parking lot to security line. Recommend to get all of your tickets online and use coupon codes. Wear sunblock, bug spray and tennis shoes - our pedometers registered 14,000 steps for the visit. It was a warm summer day, but nice, cool coastal breeze. The rides are great and the animal attractions are fun and educational. We were there from opening until evening.
